ABOUT US
How we can help your charity or CIC get online and what we do to give back.
INTRODUCTION
Digital Charities is a Community Interest Company committed to supporting other CICs and charities by building and maintaining their websites, ensuring they have an accessible and professional online presence.
Additionally, we provide vital digital training to unemployed individuals in local communities, equipping them with IT skills, job readiness, and confidence-building programs to enhance their employability and social mobility.

THE NEED FOR THESE SKILLS
Across the UK, a significant digital divide prevents many individuals from accessing employment opportunities, benefits, and essential services.
Many charities and CICs struggle with online visibility, limiting their reach and impact. Additionally, unemployment remains high in disadvantaged communities, where individuals often lack digital skills, self-confidence, and professional training.
Digital Charities exists to address these challenges by providing free or low-cost web services for charities and practical IT training for job seekers.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by providing high-quality web development services to charities and empowering individuals in our community through digital skills training, job search support, and confidence-building initiatives.
By increasing digital literacy and employability, we help people secure jobs and improve their quality of life.

COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Digital Charities delivers impact in three core areas:
1. Supporting Charities & CICs: Many small charities struggle with outdated or nonexistent websites. We ensure they have the digital tools to reach their communities, raise funds, and operate efficiently.
2. Upskilling Unemployed Individuals: Our training programs cover IT basics, CV writing, interview techniques, application support, and confidence-building, equipping participants for sustainable employment.
3. Boosting Economic and Social Wellbeing: By helping people secure jobs and supporting charities to thrive, we strengthen the local economy and social fabric.
TRAINING & DELIEVERY METHODS
Our training programs will be delivered in three formats to ensure accessibility:
• In-person training: Workshops in local community hubs with hands-on support.
• Remote learning via Zoom: Ensuring inclusivity for those with childcare, mobility, or transportation challenges.
• Self-paced online modules: Allowing participants to learn at their own pace with guided exercises.
Each participant will receive:
• A structured 6-12 week training plan covering confidence-building, digital literacy, job application support, and interview preparation.
• Access to one-on-one coaching sessions for CV reviews and job search support.
